Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii

Throughout Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, the Angry Sun only appears in Searing Sands and Grey Mountains. It appears alongside its counterpart, the Mad Moon, in the latter.

Appearance

The Angry Sun looks similar to its debut appearance. It is a small sun with an angry face.

Behavior

The Angry Sun behaves the same as Super Mario Bros. 3, staying at the top of the screen and swooping down to hit the player. Additionally, it also shoots fireballs at the player.

Newer Super Mario Bros. DS

Since desert-themed levels were scarce in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS, the Angry Sun only appeared in Skyglare Dryland, along with the only appearance of the Mad Moon.

Appearance

Unlike in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, this version of the Angry Sun is a 2D sprite instead of a 3D model. This sprite is taken straight out of Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Behavior
