Black Clappers (or World 9-10) is the tenth and final level of Special World in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's also the very final level of Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, concluding with a volcanic plain full of Munchers.

Black Clappers is unlocked by completing Grey Mountains. Completing it will unlock a shortcut to Red Lava. If the player completes Black Clappers having collected all 384 Star Coins, Hard Mode will be accessible.

This level takes place in a burned up meadow during a meteor shower. Munchers are extremely common at this level, being the dominant enemy in this level. Super Stars are very common at this level, as it is required to progress from the beginning to the end of the level. Volcanic debris rains as well.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Find a Super Star in a hidden Question Block in the middle of two coins. Run while the Starman effect lasts, and use any Question Block to spawn another Super Star when necessary. As Starman Mario, run across the Munchers to collect the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: This Star Coin is located sometime after the checkpoint. Grab as much Super Stars as you can from the Super Star spawners and run across the Munchers to find the Star Coin and a group of coins in an alcove. Be sure to grab it quickly before the Super Star effect runs out.
  • Star Coin 3: Grab a star from the first Question Block after the long Muncher section. After that, rush down to the green Warp Pipe after the set of Bullet Bill Blasters to enter a secret room. Run all the way to the right as fast as you can before the Starman Mario effect runs out to reach the Star Coin without taking any damage.
