Bullet Bills are common enemies found throughout the Newer Super Mario Bros. series.

Appearance

Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii

Bullet Bills are black, bullet shaped enemies. Their main features are their two white glove hands and their menacing eyes.

Newer Super Mario Bros. DS

Bullet Bills still look the same, but with a much lower polygon model.

Behavior

Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii

Bullet Bills are either fired out of Bill Blasters or off-screen. When fired, they'll fly in a certain direction indefinitely, hurting the player when touching them. The player can defeat Bullet Bills by simply jumping on them, which could be used to gain extra height. Bullet Bills are immune to fireballs, though they can be frozen using iceballs. Unlike other enemies, though, Bullet Bills won't fall down when frozen; allowing the player to use them like a platform.

Newer Super Mario Bros. DS

In Newer Super Mario Bros. DS, Bullet Bills can once again be fired out of Bill Blasters or fired off-screen. They act the same way, flying in one direction indefinitely. They can still be jumped on, but due to the absence of the Ice Flower, they cannot be frozen. They're still immune to fireballs, and sadly also hammers, so the only way to take out a Bullet Bill is to jump on its head. Unlike in the last game, Bullet Bills sometimes fire out diagonally along with their bigger counterpart: the Banzai Bill.
