Goldbush Pond (or World 1-A) is the only alternate level of Goldleaf Plains in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS. It's a fall-themed lake featuring many Spinies and Spike Bass.

Goldbush Pond is unlocked by completing Wiggler Woods and purchasing a Star Coin Sign. Completing it will unlock Leafpile Castle.

Star Coins[]

  • Star Coin 1: After the first Piranha Plant, enter the yellow Warp Pipe. This'll lead you to an underwater section, with the Star Coin being at the end.
  • Star Coin 2: After the checkpoint, this Star Coin will be in plain sight over a Big Spiny shell. Carefully grab it by stepping on the Flimsy Log and jumping away. Make sure that the Spike Bass isn't near.
  • Star Coin 3: Shortly after the second Star Coin, run across a Flimsy Log bridge located under some platforms. Beware of the Spike Bass. At the end of the bridge, you'll enter a Warp Pipe, which'll lead you to another underwater section. This time, though, with a Cheep Chomp. Carefully go around the Cheep Chomp, and grab the Star Coin.

Enemy Count[]

there are 9 Koopa Troopas (Red) , 1 Spike Bass , 14 Spinies , 3 Piranha Plants , 2 Cheep Cheeps and 1 Cheep Chomp.
