Hilltop Town (or World 4-A) is the only alternate level of Sakura Village in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. It takes place in a small town full of Japanese-inspired houses and Shy Guys.

Hilltop Town is unlocked by completing Vine Chasm. Completing its normal exit will unlock The Green Switch Palace, and completing its secret exit will unlock Manta Raid in Sky City.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Once you reach the first Mega Shy Guy, bounce off its head to get on top of the dojo beside it and reach the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: After the second Mega Shy Guy, go into a hidden alcove to the upper left of it. This will lead you to a room with the Star Coin trapped in a Flip Block cage. Simply break through the Flip Blocks to get it.
  • Star Coin 3: Right before the first and only Big Pink Shy Guy, go into a hidden alcove under where the Bounce Guy is bouncing. Go down the hidden Warp Pipe, and it'll lead you to the third and final Star Coin.

Secret Exit

This level features a secret exit to World C, Sky City. After the first Mega Shy Guy, find the first Big Question Block, and go left to find a hidden alcove to swim under. Just be careful not to drop too low to avoid dying. This can be easier with a Penguin Suit, which can be obtained elsewhere. Keep swimming, until you find a ? Switch. Activate it to open the dojo's gates, and reveal a hidden door. This door will take you inside the dojo, and you will find the secret Goal Pole.
