Mega Topman is the tower and castle boss of Starry Skies in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's a large Spiky Topman.

Mega Topman is fought in Electron Tower and Novastar Castle.

Mega Topman looks identical to a normal Spiky Topman aside from its size. It's a red metallic top-like creature with a black underside protruding a drill on which it balances and three spinning yellow arms with spherical hands. It has two black beady eyes, a white spike on its head, and several yellow streaks over its arms.

As the player enters the arena, they'll encounter a regular Spiky Topman resting on the ground. Kamek soon swoops in, using his magic to enlarge the Spike Topman, transforming it into Mega Topman.

Mega Topman will slowly spin across the arena floor, turning if it gets too close to the arena's edges.

In order to damage Mega Topman, it must hit the electrical barriers flowing on the sides of the arena. This is mainly accomplished by spin jumping into Mega Topman, knocking it back a bit. Normal jumps will simply bounce the player away. Mega Topman must hit the barriers thrice to become defeated and end the battle.

Every time Mega Topman hits the barriers, it will have some invincibility frames before spinning again. After Mega Topman's first hit, it will begin to execute dash attacks towards the player, rendering it unpushable and harmful while it attacks. If the player is within close proximity or it is close to the electricity, it will execute a small dash, while if the player is at the complete other end of the arena, it will execute a longer dash. It will halt before and after each dash. The frequency of dash attacks is increased after its second hit.

Once Mega Topman is defeated, it will shrink and disappear, ending the fight.

  • It is possible to cause Mega Topman to dash into the electrical barriers itself if the player baits it into dashing towards them right beside the barriers.
