Pendulum Tower (or World 8-Towernsmbw.png2) is the tower and the fourth level of Koopa Core in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. It takes place in a dangerous tower slowly filling with lava. Kamek is fought at its top.

Pendulum Tower is unlocked by completing Magmaworks Factory. Completing it will unlock Eruption Crater and Dragonride Firesea.

Throughout the level is many platforms and moving stone blocks. The lava below you will gradually rise up to the top of the tower in both sections. It resembles World 7-Tower in New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS. Many typical tower enemies including Dry Bones appear here. Additionally, Kamek will regularly shoot blue fireballs from the top of the tower. He stops briefly during the last moving platform section, but resumes afterwards.

Boss battle

Kamek's boss battle is nothing different from his battle in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He will make the room's platforms move to the left and teleport frequently. His magic transforms one platform into either coins, enemies, or powerups.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Near the start of the level, you'll find the first Star Coin to the right of the first swinging platforms. Jump off from the nearest platform to collect the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: Just before the checkpoint, the Star Coin is blocked off by four brick blocks. There are two ways to collect this Coin. Use the Ice Flower to freeze a nearby Dry Bones, then toss it at the brick blocks to make the Star Coin accessible. You can also use the Donut Blocks to break one of the brick blocks, then run back up and slide beneath the blocks.
  • Star Coin 3: At the top of the huge set of extending platforms, jump in the notch on the left and wait for the extending platforms to make way for the third and final Star Coin.
