Pendulum Tower (or World 8-2) is the and the fourth level of Koopa Core in Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii. This level takes place in a tower filled with platforms that act as pendulums and rising lava. Kamek is fought here.
Throughout the level is many platforms and moving stone blocks. The lava below you will gradually rise up to the top of the tower in both sections. Many typical tower enemies including Dry Bones appear here. Additionally, Kamek will regularly shoot blue fireballs from the top of the tower. He stops briefly during the last moving platform section, but resumes afterwards.
Kamek's boss battle is nothing different from his battle in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. He will make the room's platforms move to the left and teleport frequently. His magic transforms one platform into either coins, enemies, or powerups.
- Star Coin 1: Near the start of the level, you'll find the first Star Coin to the right of the first swinging platforms. Jump off from the nearest platform to collect the Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2: Just before the checkpoint, the Star Coin is blocked off by four brick blocks. There are two ways to collect this Coin. Use the Ice Flower to freeze a nearby Dry Bones, then toss it at the brick blocks to make the Star Coin accessible. You can also use the Donut Blocks to break one of the brick blocks, then run back up and slide beneath the blocks.
- Star Coin 3: At the top of the huge set of extending platforms, stay to the left and wait for the extending platforms to make way for the third and final Star Coin.
- In "NEWER SMBW: YE OLDE VIDEO 2", this level is shown with the name "Swinging Chandelier Tower".
