Stormeye Stronghold (or World 7-Final.png) is the castle and the tenth and final level of Cirrus Heavens in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS. It takes place in a sky-high castle in the midst of a thunderstorm. Lakithunder is fought at its end.

Stormeye Stronghold is unlocked by completing Ballistic Breach, Gusty Gap, or the secret exit of Cloudbolt Chasm. Completing it will unlock Boomblast Badlands in Koopa Country.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Guarded by a Thunder Cloud in the starting area.
  • Star Coin 2: In the third area, break the brick blocks that are below a trio of Thunder Clouds.
  • Star Coin 3: In the third area, after the last Whomp.

  • In earlier versions, Stormeye Stronghold had a time limit of 300 seconds. This was widely considered too little time to beat the level normally, as not only was the level quite long, but they'd also have to beat Lakithunder with this 300-second time limit. This prompted the time limit to be changed to 500 seconds.
    • In the video, "Newer DS - Part 14 - Bullet Rain," Skawo said that Stormeye Stronghold was planned to have a + Clock placed before Lakithunder. After lowering the time limit to 300 seconds and trying to add the + Clock in, he realized that he couldn't and decided not to add it in, forgetting to raise the time limit back up to 500 seconds.
  • This is the third end-world level in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS to not have a proper Boss Door, following Flameburst Flotilla in Crystal Sewers and Thornspire Doomship in the Lunar Realm.
