Whomps are rare enemies which only appear in Newer Super Mario Bros. DS. They are only found in Stormeye Stronghold, the castle stage of Cirrus Heavens.
Appearance[]
Whomps are gray rectangular stone creatures with small arms and feet.
Behavior[]
Whomps may stand in place or walk around their territory, falling over when the player gets in front of them in an attempt to crush the player. It takes a few seconds for them to get back up from their fall, and within this time they can be defeated via a ground pound to their back.
